Waldwick is a nice town situated next to Wyckoff, Midland park, and Ho-Ho-Kus. Overall the town isn’t huge but has a very nice feel to it with places to shop as well as eat. Waldwick has many nice places to eat such as Moshi Moshi, Andreas Ristorante Italiano, and Nellie's Place, one of the best places for thin crust pizza and wings around Bergen county.

Waldwick’s location near Midland park and Paramus allow its residents to not have to travel far for great shopping including the Midland Park Shopping center which includes a Kings Supermarket. Route 17 runs right through Waldwick and connects it many other towns such as Paramus where there are many places to shop including Paramus Park and the Garden State Plaza.

Waldwick students attend public school in the Waldwick School System, which has two elementary schools, and a common middle school, which is located right next to the high school. Waldwick’s high school is small, being reported to have less than 500 students in total. In addition to the town's high school, there are many local private schools for both girls and boys such as Bergen Catholic or Immaculate Hearts Academy. Waldwick and Midland Park merged their sports and recreational programs has helped to make the both departments stronger. The high school football team, which is a combination of Waldwick and Midland Park high schools has been a powerhouse in the Group 1 standings recently.
